The Personal Journey 365, the wilderness period

The Personal Journey 365, the wilderness period

This is the Moses who told the Israelites, ‘God will raise up for you a prophet like me from your own people.’ He was in the assembly in the wilderness, with the angel who spoke to him on Mount Sinai, and with our ancestors; and he received living words to pass on to us. Acts 7:37-38 NIV The term “wilderness” can be defined as a part of a garden set apart for plants growing with unchecked luxuriance (luxuriant growth or productiveness; richness, abundance; lushness).  In the Spiritual sense, the wilderness period is season of our life spent alone with God, period.  The amount of time in the wilderness is directly proportional to our surrender.  It may be the very first time that we surrender our own limited understanding and start building a personal relationship with God.  While it may seem lonely at first, there is no other time that our connection with God is fuller.  The understanding is upside- down from this temporal finite world in which we are merely visitors. Ecclesiastes 4:9-12, NLT The power of True Fellowship is found in the very act of coming together in unity of mind and spirit in the name of Jesus Christ, and through the power of the Holy Spirit.  True Fellowship is a fellowship of sinners, not of “Saints.”  In other words, the facades are foreshadowed by a level of honesty and humility that brings light into the darkness.  There arises an underlying awareness that we are not alone in our misunderstanding of deceptions that we sometimes overwhelming experience.  It is, “Divide and conquer no more.”  Truth is exposed, and we are set free.  True fellowship brings confession, accountability, and unity. Confession – Therefore confess your sins to each other and prayread more
