The Personal Journey 365, Jesus’ wooing
Jesus answered her, “If you knew the gift of God and who it is that asks you for a drink, you would have asked him and he would have given you living water.” John 4:10 (NIV)
When we get to the crossroads in life, intimately asking ourselves, “Is there more to this life?” It is at this point where we are most open to the perception of Jesus’ wooing. The invitation comes like the woman at the well (John 4:1-26, NIV) who was given the glimpse of being completely satiated with living water. She was overshadowed by the intimacy of Christ and the depth of knowledge that reached her innermost being filling her with complete love. A type of love that is never understood until genuinely experienced.
Without judgementalism or condemnation Jesus spoke into this woman’s life the healing words that reached the depths of her being. This astonishing familiarity embraced her soul replacing death with life eternal. Jesus wooed her through a heavenly intimacy that she never understood as possible. This was her undeniable turning point, an awakening to the Kingdom of God.
Is Jesus wooing you? Is He meeting you at your deepest darkest secrets and filling you with the love that conquerors all. If not, then turn and surrender. Taste the endless living waters of eternal life. Experience the love that no matter where you have been or what you have done pardon is found. Once you have tasted this living water there is no going back for it is then you know Truth.
Jesus’ wooing fills us to overflowing abundance with his Agapé love which conveys a profound change of perspective in our minds, hearts, and souls that is beyond human comprehension. When our spirit is commended into His hands everything suddenly comes together. Every single experience in our life becomes a piece to a puzzle intricately fitting together for the good of all in His Kingdom.
Never complicate the simplicity of God’s love, for you will never completely understand it in this world, simply surrender to it. Human analysis is the nemesis of Truth, lean not on your own understand, but trust in God alone.
