The Personal Journey 365, that amazing Grace
I do not treat the grace of God as meaningless. For if keeping the law could make us right with God, then there was no need for Christ to die. Galatians2:21, NLT
Grace is the freely given, unmerited favor and love of God. Unmerited favor, even though I do not deserve this favor, excessive kindness or unfair partiality, it is mine as a believer in Jesus Christ. Salvation through Jesus Christ is the good news! From the moment we believe we step into another realm of being, and this Kingdom goes on for eternity. We are in this current world physically, but spiritually we are being transformed for the next. (John 17: 13-17, Romans 12:1-2) This is not by our own efforts or even understanding, but rather a one-day-at-a-time transformation that sets us apart from the laws of this world.
While our current theories of physics, the science that deals with matter, energy, motion, and force is grappling to explain the unexplainable the answers have been available to us all the time –via the Bible. The current String theory of physics is moving beyond the once popular belief in Quantum theory in an attempt to comprehend physics in terms of a multi-dimensional universe by mathematical probability. Man is essence has to come to the end of himself to understand the simple that has been with us the entire journey – the true evolutionary circle.
The heavenly realm –the Kingdom of God – in fact may very well be the reality while our time here in this temporal realm is the illusion. Our current world is the testing ground for the next. To be in this world, but not of this world requires the supernatural understanding that can only be achieved by grace for it is in the simple that the complicated will be understood.
The only effort grace requires is surrender. Surrender to Christ on a daily basis through the power of the Holy Spirit that resides in the believer the moment they first believed forever transforms and unveils an awareness that is not possible to comprehend without grace. It is for this reason that only those who belong to Christ will be able to see and understand.
Yet in the very gift of God’s grace we are given the opportunity by our own free will to choose to believe or not. Time has a beginning and an end. So it is with the allotted time we are all given in this world that God’s grace can be simply received for it was with great cost to God that it is offered. The cost was the death of His only son for the atonement of the sins of mankind for which we do not deserve. This amazing Grace is the result of God’s unconditional love for us.
