“Salvation prayer” Proclamation of Faith in Jesus Christ

Do you know Jesus Christ? The very first step of the Personal Journey with Jesus Christ is our verbal Proclamation of Faith. This is “Salvation” as ascribe in the Bible by Jesus Christ.

The Personal Journey 365, that amazing Grace

Good News Broadcasting & Multimedia - Online Christian media

Grace is the freely given, unmerited favor and love of God. Unmerited favor, even though I do not deserve this favor, excessive kindness or unfair partiality, it is mine as a believer in Jesus Christ.

The Personal Journey 365, Jesus’ wooing

Good News Broadcasting & Multimedia - Online Christian media

When we get to the crossroads in life, intimately asking ourselves, “Is there more to this life?” It is at this point where we are most open to the perception of Jesus’ wooing. The invitation comes like the woman at the well (John 4:1-26, NIV) who was given the glimpse of being completely satiated with living water. She was overshadowed by the intimacy of Christ and the depth of knowledge that reached her innermost being filling her with complete love. A type of love that is never understood until genuinely experienced.

Humility or Humiliation?

Good News Broadcasting & Multimedia -Online Christian Media

When I began on my journey with Christ as the center of my life some 12 years ago, I had no idea what it would entail. I was under the misguided assumption that first this initial decision to put God first was completely by my choice; and secondly, that if I just read and study enough material or even try to glean tidbits of knowledge from the TV preachers and experts I would be able to figure out enough to please God. And if I pleased God he would give me what I wanted when I wanted it. With all frankness, I can say looking back now I realize that I was clueless! I was just a babe in the woods on a journey into the unknown.

The Personal Journey 365, God is in control

Good News Broadcasting & Multimedia - Christian On-line Media

To begin the personal journey with our Lord, Jesus Christ, means surrendering our control on a daily basis. The free choice we have been given can be the very hindrance to our divine relationship. Our feeble understanding tends to want to put”God-in-a-box,” thus limiting our relationship and His call in our lives. The God-in-a-box mentality will reach its ceiling and never break through unless complete surrender to the point of uncontrolled abandonment is chosen. To continually seek to be in control ultimately spins life out of control when the paradigm shifts. However, to surrender control to God brings order, peace, security, fulfillment and freedom. The opposite of what we have been led to believe.

The Personal Journey 365, the wilderness period

The Personal Journey 365, the wilderness period

This is the Moses who told the Israelites, ‘God will raise up for you a prophet like me from your own people.’ He was in the assembly in the wilderness, with the angel who spoke to him on Mount Sinai, and with our ancestors; and he received living words to pass on to us. Acts 7:37-38 NIV The term “wilderness” can be defined as a part of a garden set apart for plants growing with unchecked luxuriance (luxuriant growth or productiveness; richness, abundance; lushness).  In the Spiritual sense, the wilderness period is season of our life spent alone with God, period.  The amount of time in the wilderness is directly proportional to our surrender.  It may be the very first time that we surrender our own limited understanding and start building a personal relationship with God.  While it may seem lonely at first, there is no other time that our connection with God is fuller.  The understanding is upside- down from this temporal finite world in which we are merely visitors. God will move heaven and earth to get your attention, but many still rebel.  To rebel the wilderness period is to say, “God, I have no desire to getread more

The Personal Journey 365, power of True Fellowship

The Personal Journey 365, True Fellowship

Two people are better off than one, for they can help each other succeed.  If one person falls, the other can reach out and help. But someone who falls alone is in real trouble. Likewise, two people lying close together can keep each other warm. But how can one be warm alone?  A person standing alone can be attacked and defeated, but two can stand back-to-back and conquer. Three are even better, for a triple-braided cord is not easily broken. Ecclesiastes 4:9-12, NLT The power of True Fellowship is found in the very act of coming together in unity of mind and spirit in the name of Jesus Christ, and through the power of the Holy Spirit.  True Fellowship is a fellowship of sinners, not of “Saints.”  In other words, the facades are foreshadowed by a level of honesty and humility that brings light into the darkness.  There arises an underlying awareness that we are not alone in our misunderstanding of deceptions that we sometimes overwhelming experience.  It is, “Divide and conquer no more.”  Truth is exposed, and we are set free.  True fellowship brings confession, accountability, and unity. Confession – Therefore confess your sins to each other and prayread more

The Personal Journey 365, sweet surrender

Good News Broadcasting & Multimedia - Online Christian Media

For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms. Ephesians 6:12, NIV The war, in which we are fighting, whether we believe or acknowledge it, is not with the flesh and blood of this world.  As long as we continue to fight with each other our attention is diverted and will remain unclear as to the real enemy of mankind.  This is an epic conflict that our limited understanding will never fully grasp while in this world.  To attempt to bring it into our own finite mentality is not only arrogant, but impossible.  Most importantly, to do battle through our significantly inadequate weapons is tantamount to spiritual suicide. The victory comes from the upside-down strategy of surrender. The surrender is not to the battle itself, nor to the short-lived tempting desires of the flesh, but to the sweet surrender to our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. He is the Way! He is the Truth! He is the Life!  The answer is so close, yet many spend their entire earthly journey never realizing just how closeread more

The Personal Journey 365, sword of the Spirit

Good News Broadcasting & Multimedia - Christian Online Media

In the entire Armor of God, the sword of the Spirit is the only offensive weapon in the arsenal. Furthermore, the sword of the Spirit is double-edged. This refers to the Word of God, which is both the Bible (Scriptures), and the Word made flesh –Jesus Christ– who left us with the Holy Spirit. Both are needed as one in the tearing down of strongholds in our lives, as well as dealing with circumstances, and other individuals on a daily basis.
